Our Story
Absolute Home Services was founded by Liz Jonasson, a long time resident of Burlington, Ontario, in September, 2012.
Liz’ path to becoming the business owner at Absolute Home Services began when she was 16 years old working summers for College Pro Painters close to her family cottage in Muskoka, Northern Ontario. While In University, she launched her own College Pro franchise and specialized in interior and exterior house painting.
Though she graduated university with a degree in Civil Engineering, Liz continued to focus on her College Pro franchise, as it became a true passion. She went full time at College Pro for Northern Ontario where she recruited, trained, and led 25 other students in operating the painting business. She eventually rose to the position of Vice President of Ontario. After 17 years with College Pro she decided to make a change and joined Paul Davis Systems as the Operations Manager.
While at Paul Davis, a restoration company that handles damage to homes and businesses from fire, wind and water, Liz managed a crew of 25 emergency technicians who responded to these devastating situations.
Through her experience at College Pro and Paul Davis, Liz concluded what she saw as a market opportunity: a complete home services solution: with offerings ranging from home improvement, repair, and maintenance, and with true customer service at its core.
In 2012 Liz launched Absolute Home Services which started out as painting company in Burlington. But she had a vision for what it could be. Building upon the success of the painting business, Liz launched the Lawn and Garden Maintenance service the following year, in 2013. And, after receiving multiple requests from Clients, Absolute Home Services incorporated Handyman Services as part of its overall offering. Liz and her growing team took a slow and methodical approach to developing each of these services and continued their focus on exceptional client service.
Today, Absolute Home Services is the leader in home improvement, repair, handyman, and maintenance services in Southern and Northern Ontario. With services including painting, landscaping, maintenance, and repair. Only Absolute Home Services offers dedicated Project Managers who ensure their clients’ needs are met, every time, as promised.

Absolute replaced my boathouse deck and did a fantastic job. Project Manager Derek gave me options with pros and cons, and we ended up replacing the water damaged plywood+membrane with 2x6 decking, and are extremely happy. We got regular updates throughout the project, which was completed promptly and at a fair price. I plan to use Absolute for future projects, and highly recommend them.

Absolute Home Services did a fantastic job fixing our stairs and refinishing our front deck. Looks brand new. They were clean, courteous and efficient. Job was finished on time and no extra costs or surprises.

Absolute Home Services was engaged to build a cedar gate and walkway at side of our home. This also included planting a row of boxwoods plants / hedge. The work was completed on time and to specification. The side our home went from looking like something from a horror movie into a design from a magazine.
